Before you book

What to expect in a session

No surprises. Here is the shape of a session, what I do, what I do not do, and the adjustments you can ask for.

About 3 minutes to read. You can skim the bold bits instead.

The shape of a session

In short: 50 minutes, one topic, and one small next step you did not have to remember yourself.

  • First 5 minutes

Settling in. How has the week been? No performance required.

  • Next 10 minutes

We agree what to spend today on. One topic, chosen by you.

  • Middle 25 minutes

The actual work: unpicking what is getting in the way and testing ideas out loud.

  • Last 10 minutes

One small, specific next step. I write it down and send it to you.

What I will and will not do

In short: Coaching, not therapy or medical care.

I will

  • Give you time to think without filling the silence
  • Repeat, rephrase or write things down whenever you want
  • Break big things into steps small enough to actually start
  • Take your sensory and energy limits as real information

I will not

  • Diagnose you or comment on medication
  • Provide therapy or crisis support
  • Tell you to try harder, or push you to mask
  • Judge a week where nothing got done

Adjustments you can ask for

In short: You never have to explain why you need one of these. Just say the word.

  • Camera off, or audio only
  • Agenda emailed in advance
  • Written summary and next steps after every session
  • Shorter, more frequent sessions if 50 minutes is too long
  • Text or email between sessions instead of talking
  • Plain, literal language with no hidden subtext
